The bank’s story began in 1953 in Canyonville, Ore., when a group of business leaders opened a single location to cash checks and provide loans. In the years since, Umpqua Bank has grown throughout Oregon and into California, Western Washington, Northern Nevada, and Idaho. But we’ve never lost sight of our roots of providing a vital community service and remain firmly committed to the tenet we were founded on: a deep dedication to the communities we serve.
