As one of the world's oldest nonpartian, nondeminational women's voluntter service organizations, GFWC is now in its third century of volunteer service in communities throughout the United States and the world. Recent statistics reported to GFW headquarters in Washington, DC indicate GFWC members raised nearly $32 million on behalf of more than 230,000 projects and volunteered more than 8.4 million hours.
GFWC Women's Civic League of Cheyenne is also affiliated with the State organization, General Federation of Women's Clubs of Wyoming which was organized in 1904. A portion of club dues pays for membership into the the State and International organizations.
GFWC Women's Civic League of Cheynne is proud to have club member, Ernie Shriner, serve as Internationl President from 2004-2006. Five club members habe served GFWC-Wyoming as state prosidents. Club members have also served in positions on the State, Regional and International Board of Directors.
